Productions of ambitious musicals and plays are major events in the Sussex House calendar. The school presents an annual production of a musical at the nearby Royal Court Theatre. Recent shows include H.M.S Pinafore, Smike and Scrooge. These performances are produced to a high standard and involve large casts.

Drama In The Ballroom productions take place in the Lent and Summer terms and include productions of a wide variety of drama, ranging from Shakespeare to plays written by members of staff. At various times in their school careers, all boys will take part in these plays.

Much inspiration is gained from regular trips to see plays in the West End.
